Style Icon

"I see it, I want it, and I wear it without thinking about it too much. If I can't find the piece that's gratifying right away, I go through my wardrobe like a miner in search of the right gem."Giovanna Battaglia.
Not many people can immediately impress me but i remember sitting on the front row at Calvin Klein's men show in the summer of '07, my first ever; courtsey to my then boss Cristina from Vanity Fair and thinking this woman is simply the most stylish person i have ever seen! She had on the Chanel gladiators from the spring collection, which were probably everyone's fantasy but however not everyone could turn it into a reality and get away looking as good as she did. I was introduced to her boss who then turned around and said meet our stylist for L'uomo Vogue...and i couldn't believe it! Ofcourse her style is classic and effortless and it translates in everything she does...her shoots...her look...all of it. Thats when i thought to myself being a woman stylist for a men's magazine can't be that bad...im now a stylist for GQ India...and i think somewhere deep down i was truly inspired by her. She's now the Editor -in-chief for Vogue Gioelli and pelle in Italy; also one of the youngest editors around. Guess Franca too saw something in her that we all admire. A true style inspiration- young, talented and beautiful.....just the way i want to be!

In StiLe GRANDE

Steven Meisel's signature 'In Grand Style', is the latest from the Italian Vogue. The good life tormented, pleasure-filled days of luxury and not without human ambiguity. Freja Beha Erichsen and Mathias Lauridsen, by a large brief moment, live life big. I love and look forward to all Vogue Italia shoots, while not commercial; they always have a depth that i feel is not caputred in any other versions. They have a mood that is captivating and absolutely stunning!

Plastic-ated !!

Whether its at Prada, Dsquared2 or Sonia Rykiel, pvc is making a comeback this summer!
watch out for the transperant bags, shoes and jackets.....me thinks they are less functional and more fun.
